My First Stockist: Make Good

My First Stockist: Make Good

Make Good San Diego

As many of you may or may not know, this was my first holiday rush with Kimposed. It's been a whirlwind and such a learning experience. Needless to say, I'll be much more prepared next year.

But this post isn't about my learnings about the holiday rush (it's still going strong, so I'll make sure to write a post when I finally get a lull!). This is about obtaining my first local stockist!

For those who don't speak maker lingo, stockists are simply retailers that stock your goods. And for me, this is a huge deal!

By total chance, I met Sophia, owner of Make Good, and her husband at my First Thursdays event earlier this month. She raved that her children were big Miyazaki fans and that my artwork was aligned with her product offering at her boutique in South Park!

Star Wars Prints at Make Good

To give a brief background, the shop opened in 2010 and locally sources 100% of their products from  artists, makers, and small businesses located the San Diego and Tijuana area.

I tried to contain my excitement, but I immediately contacted her the following day to see what I could do to get my artwork stocked at her store. Sophia, being the badass business woman that she is, responded to me in the same day and asked me to bring in all of my Miyazaki and Star Wars prints to stock at her store!

So there it is, my first stockist. I could not be more grateful and excited. We've already gone through my first round of prints and I just recently dropped off some more!

I can already tell, 2017 will be a big year for Kimposed. :)
